The Long Ride
LEU Long Ride goes to California in 2025!!
The LEU Long Ride is like no other divisional ride. The Long Ride was started by members of LEU in hopes to spread the word about LEU and our goals to different cities and agencies across the country.
The primary goal is to let agencies and cities know that we will continue to Honor the Fallen & Remember the Survivors.
The LEU Long Ride starts May 1st of each year and continues for 8 days. Typically pedals almost 1,000 miles while always stopping at law enforcement offices along the way to honor the fallen and remember their families. After the Long Ride the members join one of the divisions to finish by cycling into Washington, DC.
When the Long Ride started, they pedaled from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Brunswick, GA. However, over the past decade, the Long Ride has started in various locations over the years. Each route is a circuitous one since they go out of their way to stop at offices / LODD sites / PBA-FOP halls, etc. to fulfill the LEU mission.
The Long Ride has started in Boston, Charleston, Jacksonville and Columbus, Ohio. Also twice from St. Louis (pedaling thru different cities). The past two years they started in South Florida (Miami and Key West) (in 2024 they held 54 memorial ceremonies along the way).
In 2025 the Long Ride will pedal through CALIFORNIA.
Starting in San Francisco and ending in San Diego they plan to pedal to law enforcement offices throughout the state. Big cities such as Sacramento, Los Angeles, but also cities such as Fairfield, Davis, Stockton, Modesto, Fresno, Bakersfield, Huntington Beach as well as many other offices / LODD sites along the way. Wherever a fallen brother or sister worked and gave the ultimate sacrifice - The Long Ride will be stopping to:
